Careers at Crash Override

Do meaningful work with a team building something that matters.

We are a small team with significant ambition. If you care deeply about doing things right, not just doing things, we should talk.

FROM THE FOUNDERS

We started Crash Override to build the kind of company we wanted to be part of ourselves: thoughtful, ambitious, curious, and honest about what great work actually requires.

We come to this work with deep roots in the field. One of us created OWASP. Another invented AES-GCM. We have both built and grown companies before, and that experience taught us two things: a strong team is priceless, and so is the right culture, especially in a remote-first company. Great work does not happen by accident. It comes from talented people, clear values, and an environment built with intention.

This is a place for people who want to work on meaningful problems, move with purpose, and have real influence on what gets built. The work will shape the company, and the people who join now will shape that work.

Who We Are

What we believe. How we behave.

Five things that show up in every decision we make: hiring, shipping, reviewing work, and saying no.

  1. Customers first

We are building software to solve real customer problems, not our own.

  2. Stay curious

Curiosity is how we get past the obvious answer. We follow hard problems, keep asking why, and care about what is actually happening beneath the surface. Staying curious is something we practice, not something we outgrow.

  3. Be a good human

Good work comes from good people treating each other well. We are honest, generous, and respectful, not because it is a rule, but because it is the kind of place we actually want to work.

  4. Make each other better

We do better work when we think together. That means sharing early, making space for ideas that are not yours, and caring about whether the person next to you succeeds.

  5. Own the outcome

Ownership means caring deeply about your work and how it connects to everything around it. We follow through, support each other, and remember that the outcome belongs to all of us. We ask for help when we need it and offer it when others do.

  6. Find another way

The most familiar path is not always the best one. When something is not working, we look for a better approach instead of a more comfortable one. That takes resourcefulness, a willingness to experiment, and the confidence to say there is a better way to do this.
