NIST CSF

NIST Cybersecurity Framework

Definition

The NIST CSF is a voluntary framework providing organizations with a common language and structured approach to managing cybersecurity risk. Version 2.0 organizes activities into six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.

It's widely adopted by private sector organizations as a self-assessment and communication tool for cybersecurity risk management.
